The Hunt For a Great Skin Care Anti Wrinkle Cream
Article by Lauren Masters
You would think with all the money that we spend on anti aging products that some company somewhere would have perfected a skin care anti wrinkle cream. A product that would be able to get rid of wrinkles, blemishes, fine lines, age spots, sagging skin and other aging skin problems.
However, the reality is that most companies are more interested in hype and marketing than in actual product development. Consumers are increasingly becoming aware that anti wrinkle creams and lotions are not working as advertised. For example, in one study 96 women were put on a blind product test where some of them used ordinary moisturizers and the rest used anti aging creams in a four-week period.
By the end of the study when the women were asked to guess if they were using a moisturizer or an anti aging product, 75% thought that they were using a moisturizer.
In other words, these women saw no difference or improvement in the look and feel their skin. Of the 96 women, half are using the wrinkle softening creams and only 10 reported an improvement.
So the sad reality is that while women are paying money for products that claim to improve the looks of their skin, these wrinkle softening creams and anti aging products simply are not working. They do, however, work at increasing the frustration level of those that buy these products.
The main reason why these products do not work is the fact that they are made up of chemical ingredients that temporarily cover up the top layers of the skin. When you stop using the product, the wrinkles will appear again.
Not only are these products ineffective because of the chemicals in them, but they will actually hurt your skin and increase dryness, contributing to even more wrinkles.
So is there such a thing as a good skin care anti wrinkle cream?
Yes there is, but not your average product you find on store shelves, pumped with chemicals and ineffective ingredients. Good anti wrinkle creams and lotions will include ingredients that are natural and safe to use on any type of skin.
Look for ingredients such as CynergyTK that actually stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which over time which will help reduce wrinkles. Be sure to look for products that include antioxidants.
You should also try to avoid ingredients that are chemically based such as fragrances, alcohol, petroleum, mineral oil, alpha-hydroxy acids, retinoids and other such ingredients.
